SHOE CONCEPT: AAREZYT

Every shoe tells a story. What would a shoe look like that spoke of the city of Bern in Switzerland?
The following is a concept I came up with for a light, casual sneaker made for walking through the old town or biking to the river for a swim. The colours and shapes incorporate aesthetic elements from the sandstone the city is built from, the blue river Aare that runs through it and the alps that dominate its skyline. The lacing emulates that of a hiking boot, adding a novel touch while calling back to Swiss traditions.
